Transfer of Uniform Bar Examination Score
If you filed an Admission by UBE Score Transfer application prior to August 30, 2022, you may reach out to our office to check your application status.
Arizona recognizes the Uniform Bar Examination as a valid indicator of legal knowledge and understanding and allows eligible applicants to transfer a valid UBE score earned in a recognized UBE jurisdiction to satisfy the educational component of Arizona admission. Please read Rules 34-36, Rules of the Arizona Supreme Court in its entirety before submitting an application for Uniform Bar Exam Transfer. An applicant must meet specific requirements including, but are limited to:
- You hold a J.D. degree awarded from an ABA-accredited law school;
- You passed a Uniform Bar Examination, administered in a recognized UBE jurisdiction on a recognized UBE test administration date;
- You achieved a minimum score of 273 prior to the July 2023 test administration or 270 for the July 2023 test administration or subsequent administration
Every applicant for admission must also undergo a thorough background investigation and complete the Course on Arizona Law. Arizona Law Course Online Registration (azcourts.gov)
Applicants for UBE Score Transfer must submit an online application with payment. The UBE Score Transfer application includes all certification and character investigation questions; DO NOT submit a separate Character Report.
